by giulyrun I went last night meeting with Marco Olmo. Truly exceptional person, simple and humble. Always outspoken and available in his statements. We have seen the movie on the Marathon des Sables and the chapter on his victory in 2007, the Ultra Trail Mont Blanc. I was struck by how much money to go running around the world. For winning the Mont Blanc in addition to race packet, the same for all competitors, vouchers for about 300 Euro for a clothes shop in France!. At first participation in the Mont Blanc which came third, having booked the hotel and having to wait for the day following year for the awards has stayed with his wife in his Opel Corsa.
